PVC-U Double Glazed Windows
from Kingfisher
|
Traditional
window Appearance
The deep chamfers on the double glazed REHAU Window have
been carefully designed to replicate the putty line of a
timber
window.
This
gives all the advantages of PVCu, while maintaining a traditional
appearance, particularly if you choose the warm mahogany/white
or golden oak
woodgrain finish. |

Vertical Sliders
REHAU Heritage Style Windows have already been
approved and installed successfully in conservation areas
across the UK and the Republic of Ireland. Designed with
all the traditional detailing found in period windows, such
as a deep bottom rail, slim sashes and an option Georgian
bar. Classic style brass catches and optional decorative horns
replicate the traditional timber aesthetics to complete the
effect. |
Excellent Thermal Insulation
PVCu is a very poor conductor of heat and therefore makes
an excellent insulator. In the construction industry, a material’s
U-value measures its ability to insulate, with the lower the
value, the better the insulant. A typical old single glazed
window has a U-value of maybe 4.4W/m2K. With the introduction
of new Building Regulations AD Part L the thermal insulation
of a double glazed window now has to meet certain criteria.
Glazed with Low E glass, air filled with 16mm air space the
Rehau window exceeds this requirement.

Fit and
Forget Them
You really couldn’t get anything requiring less maintenance
than our windows! They do not warp, flake or peel. Just occasionally
oil the hinges and locks and gently rub the frames over with
a mild detergent to keep them at their best. |
Security and Safety
With a high percentage of burglaries committed by opportunists
on easy targets, no home owner/reseller nowadays can afford
to neglect basic security precautions. With our double glazed
windows you can choose your own level of security to incorporate
the latest locking/escape systems. Rehau PVCu is self extinguishing
and will not burn unless exposed to a powerful and continuous
heat source. |
